Shipping Information

Every knife that leaves Centuries Crafts gets inspected and packaged carefully before it goes anywhere. That's not a small thing when you're shipping a handmade blade, the packaging must protect real craftsmanship, not just get a box from point A to point B. Whether it's heading across the state or across the world, we treat it the same way: securely, and with enough care that it arrives looking the way it did when it left our workshop.

Below is what to expect at every step, from processing through delivery.

Order Processing & Preparation

Once you place an order, it goes through a quality inspection before anything gets packaged. That step matters — we'd rather catch an issue before it ships than after.

Standard products typically process within 5 business days. That covers inspection, packaging, and getting it ready to hand off to a carrier. You'll get a notification once your order is dispatched, so you're not left guessing.

Custom and made-to-order knives run on a different timeline since they're built specifically for you rather than pulled from existing stock. Production takes longer, and you'll get updates along the way, so you know roughly where things stand. For more on how that process works, our craftsmanship process page covers it in detail — we won't repeat that here, since this page is about getting your order to your door once it's ready.

Shipping Options

We offer a few shipping speeds depending on how quickly you need your order.

International Shipping7–15 Business DaysAvailable

Every option comes with tracking, so you can see where your order is rather than just waiting for it to show up.

Shipping Within The USA

We ship to customers across the United States, and delivery times fall within the windows above depending on which shipping speed you choose at checkout.

Once your order is dispatched, you'll get tracking information by email so you can follow it the rest of the way. We collaborate with established carriers to manage domestic delivery, and in most cases, you'll have a tracking number within a day or so of your order leaving our workshop.

If you're in a more remote area, delivery might run slightly longer than the standard estimate — that's more about the carrier's own network than anything on our end.

International Knife Shipping

We ship to customers outside the United States too, and international orders come with the same tracking and packaging standards as anything shipped domestically.

International delivery takes 7–15 business days, though that can shift depending on the destination country and how customs manage the shipment on arrival.

Customs & Import Duties

International orders may be subject to customs fees, import duties, or local taxes once they arrive in the destination country. These charges vary by country and are set by that country's customs authority, not by us, so we're not able to predict an exact amount ahead of time. Where these fees apply, they're the customer's responsibility to cover on arrival. It's worth checking your own country's import rules before ordering, particularly for knives, since some countries have specific restrictions around blades that are worth knowing about in advance.

How We Package Your Knife

This part matters more for a handmade knife than it would for most products, so it's worth explaining properly.

Every blade gets a protective covering before it's packed, keeping the edge secure and preventing any contact that could damage it in transit. From there, the knife gets wrapped securely inside the box, with enough padding that it isn't shifting around during handling. Before any of that happens, the knife goes through a quality inspection, so what ships out is the piece you ordered, checked and ready. Once it's packed and dispatched, you'll get tracking confirmation, so you know it's on its way.

None of this is complicated, but it's consistent — every order gets the same level of care regardless of size or price.

Track Your Order

After your order ships, you'll receive a shipping confirmation email along with a tracking number. From there, you can follow your order's progress using the tracking link provided, right up until it arrives.

If tracking hasn't updated in a while or something looks off, reach out to our support team and we'll investigate it.

Shipping Restrictions

Knives come with some shipping restrictions that don't apply to most products, so this is worth reading before your order, particularly if you're shipping internationally or to certain regions.

Some locations restrict or prohibit the import of knives entirely, and carriers themselves sometimes have their own rules around shipping blades. We do our best to flag known restrictions, but it’s on the customer to make sure the product they're ordering is legal to receive at their delivery address. If you're unsure about local laws in your area, it's worth checking before placing an order rather than after.

We also need a complete, accurate shipping address at checkout — incomplete addresses can delay a shipment or, in some cases, cause it to be returned.

What Happens If My Order Is Delayed?

Most orders arrive within the estimated windows above, but delays do happen sometimes, and they're not always something we can control. Carrier delays, severe weather, and customs holdups on international shipments are the most common causes.
We can't guarantee an exact delivery date, since so much of the process happens outside our own hands once a package leaves our workshop. If your order is running noticeably behind the estimated window, reach out to our support team and we'll help track down what's going on.

Received a Damaged Package?

If your order arrives damaged, contact our support team as soon as you can. Have your order details ready, and if possible, include photos of the packaging and the item itself — that helps us sort things out faster.
From there, we'll walk you through next steps, which may include an inspection before a replacement or refund is processed. For the full policy on that, look at our returns and refunds page.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does shipping take?

Standard shipping runs 3–5 business days, express is 1–2 business days, and international orders typically take 7–15 business days depending on the destination.

Do you provide tracking information?

Yes. Every order includes tracking, and you'll receive your tracking number by email once your order ships.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we ship to customers outside the United States. Delivery timelines and customs requirements vary by country.

Are customs fees included?

No. Customs duties and import taxes, where they apply, are the customer's responsibility and are set by the destination country, not by us.

How are knives packaged for shipping?

Every blade is covered for protection, wrapped securely, and inspected for quality before it's packed and shipped, so it arrives in the same condition in which it is left.

Can I change my shipping address after ordering?

If your order hasn't shipped yet, contact our support team as soon as possible and we'll do what we can to update it. Once an order has been placed, changing the address usually isn't possible.

How long do custom knives take to ship?

Custom knives follow a longer production timeline than standard products since each one is built to order. You'll get updates throughout the process, and shipping begins once the piece is finished and inspected. Head to our custom knife orders page for more on how that process works.
